The Bormann Letters Read Martin Bormann’s letters to his wife, and vice versa. Read for yourself and see what you think of Bormann’s character—evil monster or rational human being? I am personally fascinated by Bormann’s conceptualization of religion and existence. What an intensive thinker. His influence upon the religious conversations of the recorded table talks would be difficult to disprove in light of these letters to his wife. Either Hitler influenced Bormann to think on this deeply spiritual and intellectual plane or vice versa. Regardless of who influenced who, it is clear that this man was no mindless or soulless “fawning courtier.”

Many of the qualms the SS had with Christianity are the same qualms most of us have with this religion today. One example from the book is/was the hostile view the churches have taken towards women, which is in staunch violation of Christ’s teachings.
